On the first day of spring, March 1, MiNiN electric buses started the E-17 route in the upper part of Nizhny Novgorod. The route, which is already familiar to the residents as a trolleybus route №17, was extended to the “Flowers” neighbourhood to improve its transport accessibility. The route connected Shchelokovsky Farm and Botanical Garden with the historical part of the city.

The electric bus of the MiNiN series can accommodate up to 75 passengers. There are 36 seats, the vehicle is able to run at least 240 kilometres on a single charge; and a full charge in the depot takes about 5 hours. The type of energy storage is Li-NMC. The electric bus is adapted to work in the upper part of the city where large height differences and increased battery life is needed.

The 100% low-floor electric bus is equipped with air conditioning, video surveillance, passenger counting and AFC systems. USB sockets allow to recharge your devices while travelling. GPS, media complex, information system, power meter help to stay informed. The doors are equipped with an anti-jamming system, and the driver's seat is equipped with air suspension. For passengers with reduced mobility, there is a folding ramp, a wheelchair seat with restraint system and a button for communication with the driver and a kneeling system.

MiNiN electric buses were developed by the Belarusian companies BKM Holding, AMB-Engineering LLC and Nizhekotrans enterprise in Nizhny Novgorod. They are assembled at the Nizhekotrans production facilities in Vorsma, Nizhny Novgorod Region. A total of 62 electric buses will be assembled under the joint project.
