President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko was shown the Eurasian electric bus at an exhibition of vehicles during his working visit to the car production facility in Borisov district.
The head of state was briefed on the development of the automobile and electric transport industry, current work and development prospects. At the exhibition the President was made familiar with samples of automobiles and electric transport produced by the enterprises of the Ministry of Industry and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
The Eurasian Electric Bus project is based on model E321 of the Olgerd series manufactured by BKM Holding.
The capacity is 86, the number of seats is 30. The battery can charge from 20% to 90% at 450A within 25 minutes. The electric bus can run 70 km on single charge. Mileage on a single charge - 70 km. Weight 18 t, length 12.5 m. The vehicle is equipped with multimedia system, as well as WI-FI, USB, ABS, video surveillance, passenger flow monitoring, fire extinguishing, navigation and tyre pressure control systems.
The level of localisation in the EAEU countries is about 80% (battery, traction drive, converters, hydraulic power unit, pantograph, CAN nodes are of BKM Holding's own production).
The Eurasian Electric Bus industrial co-operation project was initiated to strengthen the industrial development of the EAEU countries, reduce raw material exports and strengthen technological sovereignty. The exhibit was first presented at a forum in Sochi in June 2023. In December, the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission approved the development of the draft Interstate Programme.
