The first trolleybuses model 321 of the Olgerd series were put on the line in St. Petersburg. BKM Holding will supply the city with a total of 79 units within the framework of the contract in 2024-2025. 7 of above mentioned units will be equipped with additional controls for driver training.

Recall that earlier in 2023 BKM Holding handed over 97 trolleybuses with increased autonomous range up to 20 km model 32100D to Gorelectrotrans, GUE.

Instead of a battery compartment the trolleybuses of the 321 model have 5 seated passenger seats, making a total of 35. The passenger capacity has also increased to 96 people. It should be noted that the shunting autonomous travel is only up to 250 m, but it allows the transport to bypass an accident or a problematic road section out of the wire network.

According to St. Petersburg's technical specifications, low-floor trolleybuses are equipped with various options, including not only USB ports, video cameras, multimedia system, climate control, but also “Warm Floor”, “Talking City”, driver attention monitor and other useful sensors. The LED interior lighting and signal lines at the doors are also worth noting. Current collectors are equipped with an automatic сatenary catching system and an automatic contact wire placing system.

“Belkommunmash” has produced more than 270 vehicles for the city on the Neva. The history of deliveries began in 1999. It should be noted that, Olgerd low-floor trolleybuses can already be found on the streets of Russia's Murmansk, Yekaterinburg and Krasnodar, as well as in Bulgaria's Vratsa.
