20 modernised trams T701 will be delivered to Novosibirsk by the end of the year. Half of the bodies have already arrived from Minsk. On 2 October, Mayor Maxim Kudryavtsev was one of the first to ride on one of them. The presentation was also attended by representatives of the joint venture and BKM Holding.

A machine set of the first complete tram car model T701 has been used for modernisation of cars at the joint Russian-Belarusian enterprise BKM Siberia since 2024. The modernised trams are longer and more comfortable: they have four doors, climate control, a ramp for passengers with limited mobility, and a low floor in the centre of the cabin. In addition, the trams are equipped with validators for cashless fare payment. Modernisation is supported by the government of the Novosibirsk region.

From the 9th of October trams will be launched on the route №13, which is the most popular in the city.
