On July 2, 2019, the first Cooperation and Regional Development Forum within the framework of The Belt and Road Initiative was held in the Industrial Park “The Great Stone”. Its main theme is “The Great Stone Outdoor Park — an example of global opportunities”.
As a part of the Forum, the excursion electric bus E433 Vitovt Max Electro, produced by the Open Joint Stock Company “Holding Management Company “Belkommunmash”, which transported visitors to the event, cruised around the territory of the Great Stone. and the resident of the park, LLC “Chengdu Xinju Silk Road Development”.
Delegation of OJSC “Holding Management Company “Belkommunmash” was represented by General Director Vladimir Korol and Economic Affairs and Finance Deputy Director General Viktor Shchetko and deputy chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee – Alexander Krepak.
The forum brought together about 700 participants from more than 30 countries. Almost 50 representatives of state organizations, international companies and scientific institutions acted as speakers and moderators.
During the opening ceremony, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Belarus Nikolai Snopkov read out a welcoming speech to the forum participants on behalf of the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
He Wei, Deputy Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference of the People’s Republic of China, noted that the Belarus and China are making effort to turn the Great Stone Industrial Park into the most competitive platform in The Belt and Road Initiative.
The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus Dmitry Krutoy, Deputy Minister of Commerce of the PRC Qian Kemin, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Belarus Maxim Yermolovich, Managing Director for Economics, Policy and Management of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Mattia Romani, CEO of CJSC “Developing company of the industrial park” Hu Zheng.
