Passenger vehicles manufactured under the BKM HOLDING brand are highly valued in the CIS countries. In particular, our company is actively involved in the renewal of transport in the Russian Federation.

The renewal of transport in the Russian Federation is a significant contribution to the comfort of citizens. The need to purchase new vehicles is evidenced by many facts. For example, the oldest tram in Barnaul is 48 years old, and more than 300 trams working in Samara were manufactured during Soviet times. The average age of trolleybuses in Ekaterinburg is now over 25 years, and repairs are always needed.

Within the framework of a large-scale renewal programme for electric transport rolling stock, BKM HOLDING will deliver trolleybuses model 32100D of the latest generation to Saint Petersburg. Deliveries of a large consignment began in 2022 and St. Petersburg will receive the remaining 48 trolleybuses this year.

BKM HOLDING has also concluded contracts for delivery of 45 trolleybuses for Ekaterinburg and 60 for Krasnodar in 2023, as well as 12 fully low-floor trams for Samara and 10 for Barnaul.

In addition, BKM HOLDING participates in the supply of vehicles by organising assembly plants. For example, Nizhny Novgorod will receive 80 trams model T811 his year, assembled at the JV Nizhekotrans established in September 2022.

45 trolleybuses for Ekaterinburg

In December 2022, BKM HOLDING signed a contract for delivery of 45 trolleybuses model 32100D with extended range for Ekaterinburg. This event was preceded by long negotiations with the city authorities, which began with the visit of the Head of Ekaterinburg Mr. Aleksey Valerievich Orlov to BKM HOLDING in May 2022.

By the 300th anniversary celebration, Ekaterinburg will receive the majority of trolleybuses, and by October 31, 2023, all of those contracted for. This will make it possible to renew the trolleybus fleet by a quarter and extend the routes.

At the moment, the average age of trolleybuses on Ekaterinburg city routes is 25.5 years. At the same time, there are still over a dozen trolleybuses in the Ordzhonikidze trolleybus depot, which were manufactured during the Soviet era.

60 new trolleybuses for Krasnodar

In December 2022 BKM HOLDING signed a contract for delivery of 38 trolleybuses model 32100D with extended range and 22 trolleybuses model 321 to Krasnodar.

Krasnodar’s trolleybus fleet will be renewed by 40% in 2023, with 60 new units purchased from Belarus as part of the state program to repay part of the refinancing rate. Most of the trolleybuses have extended range. Therefore they can be put directly on the routes without installing additional infrastructure. Residents of the housing estate "Gubernsky", "Panorama", "Nemetskaya Derevnya", the Western Bypass district, the Komsomolsky housing estate, Pashkovsky residential area will be able to use public transportation. The new trolleybuses will start operating on their routes already in 2023.

12 trams for Samara

In December 2022, BKM HOLDING signed a contract for the delivery of 12 trams model T811 to the city of Samara.

The 100 % low-floor, four-door, 16.5 m long cars have 35 seats and one space for wheelchairs and large luggage in the middle part of the compartment. They are equipped with air conditioning, video surveillance system with eight cameras, USB-connectors for recharging gadgets, addressable door opening system at passenger's request with buttons on the door leafs on the inside and outside of the cabin, auto-informers and electronic displays. All trams are scheduled to be delivered to the tram depot by mid-2023.

The rolling stock fleet in Samara is still quite large, but nevertheless outdated. The average age of the cars has already exceeded 35 years. More than 300 trams operating in Samara date back to the Soviet era. This year, the city will receive a batch of new trams for the first time since 2017.

10 trams for Barnaul

BKM HOLDING will deliver 10 fully low-floor trams to Barnaul. According to the contract, the trams shall have a capacity of 150 passengers each, including at least 34 seats, at least four doors, adapted for people with limited mobility, the possibility of camera connection in the cabin and USB sockets for charging devices. The cars will be ready for service at the tram depot No. 3 of Barnaul’s MUP Gorelectrotrans in the spring of 2023.

As for the tram network in Barnaul, it was founded in 1948. Currently, the city has eight tram routes (the length of the network is 125 km) and two depots. The total number of trams is about 250, including two Belarusian semi-low-floor trams model 62103 (received in 2013).
