The event is held as part of the agreements reached during the visit of the Minister for Trade Policy of the United Kingdom to Belarus in June 2019 and his meeting with the President of the Republic of Belarus A.G. Lukashenko, as well as following the results of the visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus to the UK in 2019, and is aimed at developing Belarusian-British trade and economic cooperation in the field of development and implementation of electrical technologies in the engineering industry.

On March 3, during a visit to BKM Holding, representatives of the delegation got acquainted with the production facilities of the enterprise, discussed the implementation of the current project for the joint assembly production of electric buses in Coventry, and the launch of the test operation of the Belarusian electric bus in Nottingham. The infrastructure for operating electric buses in Minsk was demonstrated to the guests.

The delegation included representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the United Kingdom, the Ministry of Foreign Trade of the United Kingdom, the city of Nottingham, the operating company CT4N, CAD CAM, the Center for Support of Small and Medium Enterprises of the Coventry and Warwick Regions, Cenex, Coventry University.

The delegation will also visit BelAZ, BELJI, MTZ, where they will discuss the possibilities of cooperation on the introduction of British green technologies in the mechanical engineering of Belarus.
